Break That Chain!

There are individuals who face problems that are so intricate that it causes them to become nervous and apprehensive. This causes them to search for alternative ways of dealing with that problem when they see no other way out.

What many addicts fail to realize is that this method is only a temporary “fix.” Of course this fix most often leads to the beginning of the road to addiction.

There are addictions that have persons hooked so deeply that they cannot see the problem with it. It slowly has become part of their life. If an individual does not believe that substance abuse is a problem for them they will be unlikely to change their behavior. Even if the destruction caused by the addiction is obvious to everyone else, it may not be so obvious to the addict.

The addict is a master at finding justifications for why their life is in such a mess. He has excuses such as:
However, there are those who are aware that they are slowly self-destructing, but do not know how to get out or even ask for help. Addictions are thieves. They steal your time, joy and relationships, often leaving you penniless, lower than you were before indulging in them, and they isolate you from the people around you.

Talking to those who have already achieved sobriety can help an addict see beyond their denial. Ex-addicts will understand the mentality of an addict in denial and so will have a better understanding of what to say.

Join us at our ACT (Addiction Cleansing Therapy)  meetings to talk to persons who have been through your experiences. We are here to help you!

The Campaign of Israel only occurs twice per year and is the greatest Campaign of Faith. Its purpose is to conquer the promises of God, by placing one’s all on the altar.

Many people ask “What is my all?”

Your all means obedience and self denial. This is where most people fail. The Bible says in 1Samuel 15:22 “…..obedience is better than sacrifice.” For most persons complete obedience to anything is hard.

God demands complete obedience from his people. Abraham was completely obedient to God in any circumstance.

Imagine being asked to sacrifice your child…….in fact your only child, because Abraham had only Isaac with his wife. Would you be able to deny yourself and obey?

Abraham didn’t question God. “By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son… He reasoned that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead” (Hebrews 11:17-19).

This was the faith of Abraham. He obeyed unconditionally. Abraham knew that God was great so he denied himself as a parent and was prepared to sacrifice Isaac.

Today in order to see the promises of God fulfilled in our lives we need to have that Abrahamic faith.

As we experience hardships and difficult periods in our lives, let us not give up. Instead exercise that Abrahamic faith and obey God’s commands in the same way Abraham did.

Sacrifice our desires for the will of God as Abraham did. There is no doubt that we will be as blessed as he was.

Those who participate in this campaign will transmit all their trust to the altar of God.

It is inconceivable what Abraham felt while approaching the mountain to give his only son, Isaac as a sacrifice.

We have already seen that Abraham demonstrated utmost faith in God. But after one hundred years of waiting for a son with his wife Sarah (Genesis 21:5), God was asking Abraham to sacrifice the biggest desire of his heart – his son.

On one hand Abraham was confident in his faith and in God’s promises, but as a parent his heart was probably torn to shreds.

Which would he obey …….his parental instincts or his father’s command?

Of course we know that Abraham obeyed his father’s command. His obedience greatly pleased God. In fact it was the reason he was given the oath.

By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son blessing I will bless youGenesis 22:16-17

What about you? Would you have obeyed and given your Isaac? Would you have sacrificed your biggest dream as Abraham did?

Seeing that Abraham was obedient and self sacrificial he passed God’s test and the fire of God’s faith burned within him. He was overflowing with joy.

If you want to secure God’s promises………this Campaign is for you!!!!!!!

Night Of The Bridegroom In Barbados

image002In our tiny island of Barbados we were privileged to host the Night of the Bridegroom. This was such a special meeting for us as we gathered in Bridgetown, our capital. On this Wednesday evening, so many of us were renewed and revived as we gathered to seek the Holy Spirit. The message brought by Pastor Claudio highlighted the following verses:

“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be like ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.  Five of them were wise and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps, but took no oil with them.  But the wise took jars of oil with their lamps.  While the bridegroom delayed, they all rested and slept. But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Look, the bridegroom is coming! Come out to meet him!” (Matthew 25:1-6)

Here in this parable Jesus highlighted the importance of someone’s readiness to meet the Groom [Him]. In life there is nothing more important than having a true encounter with the Author of life [Jesus]. He is the only one who can give you peace, joy, success, health, a blessed family and above all SALVATION!

For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? (Matthew 16:26)

An encounter with the Lord Jesus depends on the thirst that we show and this thirst is reflected iimage004n the preparations we make for this encounter, down to the smallest detail.

As we looked at our members it was obvious that the Holy Spirit was present in our church. Barbados was truly experiencing the power of God.

We have no doubt that we are living in the last days, as we witness the following events: earthquakes, wars, famines, pestilences, parents who kill their children, children who kill their parents, and so many other pandemics. For this reason, the Universal Church all over the world began a meeting called “The Night of the Bridegroom” [Every Wednesday], with an aim to prepare us for the coming of the Groom [Jesus].

image006Even on our small island we have witnessed signs of the last days. It would truly be beneficial to us, to embrace the preparation of the bridegroom meetings.

Let’s pray, fast and meditate upon God’s Word, occupying our minds with the thoughts of God, so that when we take part in this Wednesday’s service we may have a true encounter with Jesus.

Remember the most important thing to us is our Salvation. The only way is through being ready for when the bridegroom arrives.

Do not allow work, family or other matters prevent or delay you from meeting the groom, like the five foolish virgins in the parable. This service is important and cannot be missed. When he returns we must be ready.

Year Of Discipline

The Intellimen project was started as a way to improve and teach the average man how to become a successful man of God.

This project challenges you to be a better man in all areas of your life. However as with all learning institutions there is one pre-requisite: Humility.

If as an individual, you do not recognize the need for improvement, then this is not for you. An intelligent man recognizes that there’s more than muscles to a real man.

It takes character, intelligence and faith as well.

On the 7th May 2016 we will be hosting our fifth monthly gathering. As strong men we will be taught the basic fundamentals to being better men.

A man long ago was only required to provide and protect his family. However with the turn of the century, the world has changed. Women have changed.

Unfortunately the men were left lagging behind. The results to that equation were disoriented, discredited, discontent and disorganized men.

Intellimen is here to change that. Join us on the 7th of may. Let us change the story of men in today’s society.  Our motto is “Making men better”. Our mission.-Let’s walk together, learn from each other. Don’t miss this great opportunity!

Dave Jattan

Dave JattanBefore I attended the UCKG I had a lot of financial problems. I had no permanent job and no income. What my family and I really wanted was a home.

I was one day then invited to the Church. I attended the services and soon enough I was blessed and acquired a piece of land, but the bank was delaying. In fact, they took two years.

While this was taking place I decided to take part in the Campaign of Israel and I demanded from God what I wanted.

Previously the HDC had rejected each one of my applications because I did not meet the qualifications for a government home. However, after the campaign, I got a phone call from them.

I was quite surprised because I had long given up on them as an option. I even thought it was a prank. I was told to come to Port-of-Spain the following day.

The entire procedure took only two days! One day to do the paper work and the other day to receive the keys.

This could only have been a miracle from God. I saw his work in my life after I decided to trust in Him completely and obey.

Today I live in a nice area that is convenient to work and my church attendance. I would like to advise anyone to place your complete faith and trust in God because he really works!

Anthony Alibocas

Anthony Ali-BocusMy niece was sick for about five weeks with no apparent problem. Doctors were totally baffled as to what her problem was, but could only say she was dying.

I was invited to the Universal Church by a friend of mine nine months previous to my niece’s sickness. Since my back was against a wall I finally decided to attend the service in order to help my niece.

Within the service I started crying and I explained to the pastor about my niece’s illness. He gave me the oil that was consecrated and advised me to exercise my faith and believe that God could heal her. I went to her home and asked her to anoint herself daily with the oil and claim her healing.

Being a young person she did not believe immediately, but I did. I persevered, and called her the following day. She told me that she had used it and was beginning to regain her appetite. The pain also left her body and today she is healed and lives a healthy life.

Through the oil and my faith God has truly worked in my family’s life!

Mrs. Esther

Mrs. EstherMy name is Esther and I suffered with Thyroid problems for years. I also suffered appetite, weight and hair loss. Even though I was taking medication to deal with this disease I never felt completely well.

After the Pastor spoke about the Oil from Israel, I started placing my faith and trust in God. I believed that God could have healed me completely from this disease. I started anointing my throat and praying for my healing.

After a couple of months I had a review done on the state of my Thyroids. At the end of these tests, I went back to the doctor. He looked at the results with some measure of surprise and said I was normal.

He even advised me to stop taking the medication, which I had already done.

Today I am free from thyroids, because of exercising my faith in God. I would advise anyone today to fight for their health using their faith and obedience to God.

Matthew 19:30 tells us “When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.”

What do you want to finish in your life? What are you tired of dealing with?

Is it sickness? Is it an addiction? Is it depression or anxiety? Is it financial struggles?

Nothing is impossible for the God we believe in. That’s why we should not bow down to our problems. Instead we should use our faith and believe in his sacrifice on the cross for us.

This Friday is going to be an extraordinary Friday. It is going to be a Friday of Miracles. Remarkable things are going to take place!

It is going to be a Friday of fighting for what belongs to us – a Friday of conquering our heartaches, our issues and our losses.

Now is your time to start claiming your benefits. Its your life and its worth living!
